Showing Off Our CristalACTiV™ Technology at Nuremberg

This year’s European Coatings Show in Nuremberg was the most successful show in the event’s history – attracting over 30,000 attendees and the highest international participation since the show’s inception in 1991.

Seven halls of the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre were filled with formulators of paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, additives, printing inks and construction chemicals. Among the 1,000+ exhibitors was Cristal, with a team showcasing our extensive pigment range and the TiO₂ -based CristalACTiV™ technology to visitors from all over the world.

For the second time at the European Coatings Show, we were able to demonstrate the photocatalytic activity of our CristalACTiV™ technology visually, in real time, using a special methylene blue test marker and low wattage UV lighting to show visitors first-hand the photocatalytic activity of coatings and transparent treatments formulated with CristalACTiV™ technology, such as our PC-S7 product.

Interest in this portable photocatalysis demonstration and in the CristalACTiV™ product range was much higher than anticipated. There was great interest in the ability to show the effect of treating surfaces with our technology and give such an immediate visual test of photoactivity.

As always, the show provided a great opportunity for us to meet some of the industry’s best and brightest technicians and to build relationships with current and prospective customers, and find out what’s happening in the wider world of coatings.
