Colored Pigments

TiO2 for a rainbow of colors

Next to our standard anatase products, Tronox has developed a high-purity anatase TiO2 for the complex inorganic colored pigments (CICP) market. CICPs are combinations of metal oxides with improved properties over other color preparations, including durability, chemical stability and inertness that come from their rutile or spinel structure and are obtained by blending the different metal oxides at high temperatures.

Using TiO2 opens a pallet of colors from yellows to oranges and browns for CICPs.

Uses in colored pigments

CICPs come in various combinations of oxides including:

  • Titanium
  • Tin
  • Antimony
  • Nickel
  • Zinc
  • Manganese
  • Chromium
