On October 6, Jean-François Pasquier, Director – Specialty Chemicals and Materials for Cristal, will present
“Beyond Pigment, The Growing Benefits of Titanium Dioxide for Our Society”.
For several decades, specialty titanium dioxide and titanium chemicals have been developed and have
demonstrated their efficiency in applications such as catalysts, cosmetics or emissions control. Among other
functionalities, the most recent development of the ultrafine TiO2 technology is now bringing a viable option to combat ambient air pollution. This lecture will focus on the existing applications of specialty titanium dioxide and chemicals, and also on some of the latest developments. New generations of materials under multiple forms are now beginning to help our society meet its challenges in terms of air quality, water treatment, and energy production and storage.
